About US
Our mission at The Arc is to provide advocacy, education, and recreation for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We currently serve more than 450 members who live in Sebastian, Crawford, Logan, and Franklin counties in Arkansas and LeFlore and Sequoyah counties in Oklahoma. The Arc offers weekly classes and activities for members. These include movies, outdoor activities, bowling, art, science classes, cooking classes and so much more. The Arc also holds quarterly advocacy meetings. These include guest speakers on various topics. The Arc also helps connect members with advocates and resources. This includes local legislators, Disability Rights Arkansas, Arkansas legal services, transportation, and medical services.
The Arc is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Membership is $30 a year and includes all activities at the Arc.
Volunteers
The Arc runs on volunteers. Many of our activities are lead by volunteers, and many programs were created as a result of volunteers. Without our volunteers, the Arc wouldn't survive. If you have a special skill you want to share with us, please reach out about becoming a volunteer. The Arc welcomes skills and abilities of all kinds. To become a volunteer, please visit the support us page.
Staff
